Kanye West‘s mental breakdown continues to worsen today, as multiple outlets report that he’s still being held in hospital after last week’s incident and is now suffering from “extreme paranoia.” According to TMZ, the rapper was supposed to be released today, but doctors have continued to hold him for observation, stating that he still isn’t stable enough to go home.

If you recall, West first entered the hospital last week after experiencing “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.” The breakdown followed hot on the heels of the cancellation of the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour, which saw the artist exhibiting unusual behavior such as abruptly ending one of this shows after calling out Beyoncé and Jay Z, among others.

Of course, West has never been one to play by the rules, and over the past several years it really has seemed like the fame and fortune might have finally gotten to him. His most recent antics, however, have been on a whole different level, leaving us to wonder just what’s going on in that head of his.

Whatever the case may be, Kanye West remains hospitalized for now and as we wait to hear more from his doctors, we wish him a speedy recovery.
