Peter Parker’s superhero duds are so often the topic of heated debate among ardent Spidey fans, with many able to pinpoint a specific iteration or Spider-Man based on the appearance and overall design of the Web-Head’s costume. For Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel has kept to the straight and narrow, opting for a fairly classic design over previous installments, but that’s not to say that Tom Holland’s suit isn’t without its quirks.

We’ve seen the web-wings and revamped shooter – built to support selectable web types and even a laser targeting system – but now, Marvel has offered up what is perhaps the best look at Spidey’s new duds to date via an all-new motion poster. Emerging from the ongoing CES 2017 conference in Las Vegas, we’ve included a video of the suit breakdown above.

More than anything else, today’s Spider-Man: Homecoming promo serves as a neat reminder of just how far Spidey has advanced since his appearance in Civil War, aided by the technology gifted to him by Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark – the coolest of cool uncles. Building on the chemistry formed in Joe and Anthony Russo’s ensemble piece, the interplay between Holland and Downey Jr. is arguably one of the most exciting facets of Homecoming, and fans will no doubt relish the moment when Spidey and Iron Man, decked out in their respective suits, share the screen once more.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be with us on July 7, 2017. A sequel has already been earmarked for 2019 and though that may seem like an awful long way away, we can at least look forward to Tom Holland appearing in future Avengers films.
