IDW Brings Disney Comics To Digital Format

Although Disney is the parent company of Marvel and the House of Ideas has certainly had the market cornered when it comes to Star Wars comics in recent memory, it’s important that we not forget about the classic characters that IDW continues to spotlight with Disney Comics.

Although Disney is the parent company of Marvel and the House of Ideas has certainly had the market cornered when it comes to Star Wars comics in recent memory, it’s important that we not forget about the classic characters that IDW continues to spotlight with Disney Comics.

Yes, the comic book medium originally began with the intent of entertaining children and gradually allowed for more mature storytelling as the decades went by, but all ages titles still remain a force in the industry. There’s a reason why these characters have endured for so long and now that will be further evidenced when IDW brings their entire slate of ongoing Disney titles to digital format this February.

Rebekah Cahalin, Digital Publishing Director for IDW Publishing, had this to say in a statement released earlier today:

“I’m thrilled to be a part of bringing IDW’s line of Disney Comics to digital. The fan demand has run high for some time and we’re very excited to bring these titles to the passionate Disney fans who love these comics as much as we do.”

The full list of online titles will include the following, all previously available only in print:

Donald and Mickey: The Magic Kingdom Collection

Donald Duck #1-18 and collected volumes 1-5
