The Superman family of titles have certainly been on a hot streak since Rebirth kicked off last summer as each have not only provided a fantastic read, but also charted new territory for the Man of Steel and his various supporting characters. The Superman family of titles have certainly been on a hot streak since Rebirth kicked off last summer as each have not only provided a fantastic read, but also charted new territory for the Man of Steel and his various supporting characters. One such ongoing that has caught many by surprise is that of Superwoman.

Starting off by throwing one of the most memorable curveballs in recent memory by killing off the New 52 version of Lois Lane and instead making Lana Lang the titular heroine, writer Phil Jimenez has succeeded in getting fans everywhere talking, if nothing else.

But as of April, it looks as though K. Perkins will be taking his spot, at least for one story arc. Having previously co-written some Supergirl stories with Mike Johnson and penned a contribution to a Superman/Wonder Woman Annual by her lonesome, it stands to reason that she’ll be comfortable working within this world.

Superwoman #9 arrives in comic shops on April 19. In the meantime, be sure to check out the full solicit and cover art below:

“SUPER WOMEN” part one! In this story tying in to “Superman Reborn Aftermath,” Lois Lane and Lana Lang find themselves reunited at last! Along with the Man of Steel, their reunion is cut short by the return of Cannon and Saber, who arrive to wreak havoc on the newly restored Metropolis. The mantle of Superwoman will be decided in this debut chapter of “Super Women”!
