Last week’s episode of Arrow concluded with Oliver Queen being saved by Talia al Ghul after he’d earned the wrath of the Bratva in season 5’s flashbacks. She now looks set to aid him in his mission to take down Constantin Kovar, though it’s important to note that it’s been mentioned in the present day that she must have played a role in training Prometheus.

That means Talia knows the villain’s identity, so chances are she’ll show up in Star City at some point. Considering the fact that Green Arrow is married to her sister Nyssa and killed her father, it’s hard to imagine that being a meeting which will go particularly well.

For more on what to expect from this episode of Arrow – titled “Second Chances” – here’s the official synopsis courtesy of The CW:

In his quest to take down Kovar, Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets help from a surprising source – Talia al Ghul (guest star Lexa Doig). However, when she reveals what she wants from him in exchange, Oliver isn’t sure he can accept her help. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) attempts to hack the NSA to help free Diggle (David Ramsey) but when her online efforts are flagged, she faces off against an unknown adversary. Meanwhile, Curtis (Echo Kellum) tells the team about a female vigilante, Tina Boland (guest star Juliana Harkavay), he uncovered online who has been wreaking havoc all over the country. Mark Bunting directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Sarah Tarkoff.

The gallery above also features Team Arrow’s attempts to recruit a new Black Canary. Coincidentally, they’ve found a woman with a Canary Cry in Hub City, but whether or not she’ll end up taking Laurel’s place remains to be seen. The vast majority of fans would be much happier seeing Katie Cassidy back in the role, but with Earth-2’s Laurel behind bars, that may be unlikely.

We’ll just have to wait and see how that plays out, but with this episode of Arrow set to introduce two new potential female leads, it should be well worth tuning in next Wednesday.
