New Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Images Offer A Closer Look At Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha

Earlier this evening, Marvel unveiled the extended Super Bowl TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and now a new batch of images have been released to go along with it. Earlier this evening, Marvel unveiled the extended Super Bowl TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and now a new batch of images have been released to go along with it. While a few are essentially screengrabs from the exciting preview, they do show off a fresh look at the heroes and, perhaps more interestingly, one of the sequel’s villains.

We’re obviously talking about Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha, a character clearly not impressed by Star-Lord and company. Aside from the fact that she rules over a race known as the Sovereigns, we don’t actually know what to expect from her, but visually, she’s very distinctive thanks to her golden skin (something which should make Adam Warlock’s expected debut in Avengers: Infinity War a little easier for non-comic book fans to swallow).

When Guardians of the Galaxy was released back in 2014, it was unlike any other Marvel movie to have come before, but after the film proved to be a critical and commercial success, it appears as if James Gunn has been afforded the opportunity to take things down an even weirder path with the sequel. That’s no bad thing, of course, and from what we’ve seen of the flick so far, it looks absolutely wild.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to be released this May, so expect one final trailer to drop before then. In the meantime, check out the new images up above and be sure to leave us with a comment letting us know what you’re hoping to see from the upcoming blockbuster.
