The Clone Conspiracy doesn’t wrap up until later this month, but Marvel has already released a preview of The Clone Conspiracy: Omega, a one-shot which promises to deal with the fallout of the event. For those of you unfamiliar with what Spider-Man has been up to, his clone Ben Reilly has returned from the dead with the intent of resurrecting all his fallen foes and loved ones.

Morally, that’s something Peter Parker hasn’t been able to deal with, especially as the unhinged Ben’s plan now seems to involve turning everyone in the world into clones. How the tale wraps up is unclear at this stage, but we do know that Reilly is going to end up going back to being the Scarlet Spider.

Thankfully, the preview above does offer up at least a few more clues. We see the Rhino targeting Spider-Man (probably because his wife was one of the now destroyed clones), while the Kingpin also makes an appearance.  For more on what to expect from the comic, which comes to us from writers Dan Slott, Christos Gage, and Peter David, along with art by Cory Smith, Mark Bagley and Stuart Immonen, here’s the solicitation text for The Clone Conspiracy: Omega.

• THE CLONE CONSPIRACY is finished, but the impacts on Spider-Man’s life is HUGE.
• The Rhino comes at Spider-Man with an intense fury and aims to pin the spider to the wall… Permanently.
• What was the final fate of Ben Reilly? Or the Lizard?
• Witness the first chapter of the next big Spider-Book by Peter David & Mark Bagley!

Sounds pretty exciting, right? It’s clear that this title is going to set up Spider-Man‘s future following the event and while we’re still very much in the dark as to what to expect, it’s no doubt going to be a must-read for fans of the wall-crawler when it goes on sale on March 1st.
