Deathstroke Brings The Pain In “The Lazarus Contract” Crossover This May

Things are certainly picking up for Slade Wilson, as he will soon find himself as the lynchpin in DC’s crossover event this May, “The Lazarus Contract.” Set to span four books – Titans, Teen Titans, Deathstroke and a Teen Titans Annual – it will place Wally West directly in the crosshairs of the world’s deadliest assassin, who aims to resurrect the original Ravager, his son Grant.

Things are certainly picking up for Slade Wilson, as he’ll soon find himself as the lynchpin in DC’s crossover event this May, “The Lazarus Contract.” Set to span four books – Titans, Teen Titans, Deathstroke and a Teen Titans Annual – it will place Wally West directly in the crosshairs of the world’s deadliest assassin, who aims to resurrect the original Ravager, his son Grant.

Luckily, we’ll get a great sense of cohesion when you take into account that the regular writers for each participating series – Dan Abnett, Benjamin Percy and Christopher Priest – will join their great minds and co-write every issue that’s part of the crossover.

Suffice it to say, this project couldn’t come at a more opportune time when you consider that the animated film Teen Titans: The Judas Contract is slated to arrive on DVD and Blu-ray sometime this spring, which also features Deathstroke targeting young heroes and bears a similar name. You know, I’m really getting the impression that Slade doesn’t like teenagers.

Now, let’s get to the good stuff and take a look at some solicits. Let it be known that each corresponding cover can be found in the gallery above.

First, we’ll examine Titans #11, which kicks off the event:

“THE LAZARUS CONTRACT” part one! When Deathstroke discovers that Wally West’s return holds the key to bringing his son back from the dead, he’ll stop at nothing to do just that! Don’t miss the debut chapter of the epic crossover event that you’ve been waiting for!

Next up, we have Teen Titans #8, which looks to include some shocking revelations:

“THE LAZARUS CONTRACT” part two! The Teen Titans collide with the Titans after both groups are targeted by the World’s Deadliest Assassin—Deathstroke! But when Robin interrogates Nightwing about his history with Deathstroke, dark secrets are revealed and alliances are broken!

From the looks of it, none will want to miss Deathstroke #19 because that’s when Slade acquires the powers of a speedster:

“THE LAZARUS CONTRACT” part three! Will Slade succeed in reuniting with his son even at the risk of cataclysmic disaster? Or will the Titans and the Teen Titans be fast enough to stop him from changing the world as we know it? Find out what happens when the World’s Deadliest Assassin becomes the Fastest Man Alive!

Finally, we arrive at the conclusion to be told in Teen Titans Annual: The Lazarus Contract #1, an oversized issue that’s probably worth owning for its awesome cover depicting a Speed Force infused Deathstroke alone:

“THE LAZARUS CONTRACT” finale! The conclusion to our epic crossover is here, the consequences of which will be felt for years to come!
