Capping off a busy week for film trailers, Warner Bros. has rolled out the new and indeed final sizzle reel for Wonder Woman, which sheds light on the origin story that awaits Gal Gadot’s Amazonian warrior.

Debuting tonight at the Kids Choice Awards, as promised, this is undoubtedly our best look yet at the Patty Jenkins-directed standalone pic, chronicling Diana Prince’s journey from the sun-kissed beaches of Themyscira all the way to the front lines of World War I, where she’ll be charging into battle alongside Steve Trevor (Chris Pine). That arc will naturally serve as the main body of Wonder Woman, though sources close to production have seemingly uncovered some additional tidbits relating to the film’s plot and, in particular, how it’ll weave its way into the overarching DC Extended Universe.

Those same sources also claimed that the hotly-anticipated solo movie is “good, if not great,” while calling Justice League a “salvageable mess.” It almost goes without saying, but treat those unfounded reports as just that until the first reviews drop later in the year. In the meantime, all we really have to go off of is the footage that’s been released thus far and we must say, this third and final trailer goes a long way in getting us on board with the film. There may not be a ton of new material here, but it truly looks as if this could be the first big win for the DC Extended Universe. Time will ultimately tell, but at this point, we feel very confident.

Imbued with power, grace, wisdom and of course, wonder, Gal Gadot’s immortal warrior will light up the silver screen on June 2nd. Indeed, Wonder Woman is the first of two DC blockbusters pegged for release in 2017, with Justice League expected to bookend Warner Bros.’ cinematic lineup on November 17th.
