Teaser Poster For The Avengers

It’s time to start legitimately getting excited; here’s the first poster for Marvel’s epic, star-filled superfilm, The Avengers, directed by deserved nerd icon Joss Whedon and starring a seemingly endless list of supremely popular and beloved actors. The poster, while only a giant “A” with the words “assemble 2012,” is a symbol of what is to come. Being the first teaser poster, there will surely be tons of other, more decorated Avengers posters to follow.

It’s not as attractive as the last poster we saw but it’s still classy and effective.

The Avengers will star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, and Samuel L. Jackson in their roles that we’ll all have been seen by this point in the Marvel film saga, with the exception of Ruffalo, who will be taking over Edward Norton’s role as The Incredible Hulk.

Surely, the marketing team behind The Avengers has taken the cue of Comic-Con to release this poster, as hungry nerds from around the country are currently swarming the convention.
