Yesterday morning, Sony rolled out a brand new trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming, sending fans of the webhead into a frenzy. Packed with plenty of action, more than enough humor and some revealing new looks at Michael Keaton’s menacing Vulture, it was a throughly enjoyable tease for the upcoming reboot, one that’s left us giddy with anticipation for its arrival this July.

Perhaps the most exciting part about Homecoming though is the fact that it will finally see Spidey enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Granted, he did show up briefly in Captain America: Civil War last year, but this will be his first proper outing in the MCU and as such, fans can expect there to be many connections to some of the other characters who populate this world. First and foremost on that front will be Robert Downey Jr., who will show up here as Tony Stark and appears to have quite a sizeable role.

Of course, there will also be the good ol’ post-credits scene to look forward to. A staple of every Marvel film – and almost every blockbuster in general – Homecoming is set to include one as well. While we can’t say just yet what it may tease (though Avengers: Infinity War seems like a good bet), director Jon Watts confirmed its existence in a recent interview with Fandango. When asked if there will be something shown after the credits, he said the following:

Of course! Absolutely. How disappointing would it be if there was just nothing? Like if this was the one movie where we said, nope, no after-credits scene! [laughs]

If there’s one thing that the scene won’t tease, it’s Venom, Black Cat and/or Silver Sable. Though Sony is planning spinoffs for all of those Spidey characters, the webslinger himself won’t be involved. A curious decision, to be sure, and one that may ultimately hurt the studio in the end. Especially with someone like Venom, who’s only really interesting in the first place because of his connection to Spider-Man.

Circling back to Homecoming though, and today also brings forth a new photo. Seen below, it features Peter and Tony, with Happy Hogan following closely behind. The context of the scene isn’t known, but presumably, Stark is giving the youngster some kind of advice or attempting to impart more wisdom on him as he continues to serve as his mentor.

Check it out below and be sure to keep an eye out for more promo material as we get closer to Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s release on July 7th.
