Synopses For Upcoming Supergirl, The Flash And Arrow Episodes Surface

In under two weeks, some of our favorite DC TV shows will return to airwaves with new episodes. So, as we continue the sprint toward their respective season finales, it's only natural that official synopses for each surface well in advance. Given that, we're able to peer into the future and discuss what's to come in the first week of May for Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow.

In under two weeks, some of our favorite DC TV shows will return to airwaves with new episodes. So, as we continue the sprint toward their respective season finales, it’s only natural that official synopses for each surface well in advance. Given that, we’re able to peer into the future and discuss what’s to come in the first week of May for Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow.

Obviously, we’ll begin with Supergirl, since it’s the first to air. When examining the description, one can’t help but compare Alex being kidnapped by an unknown party to Kara having a price put on her head not long ago. And although Rhea is in this episode, I’m not so sure she’s responsible because this kind of has Cadmus’ stench on it. But, I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Here’s the early word on “Alex,” which will air on Monday, May 1:

ALEX IS KIDNAPPED – Alex (Chyler Leigh) is kidnapped and the kidnapper threatens to kill her unless Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) releases a notorious criminal from prison. Supergirl and Maggie (Floriana Lima) have always had different approaches to apprehending criminals but this time they must work together to save Alex. Meanwhile, Rhea (guest star Teri Hatcher) has an interesting proposal for Lena (Katie McGrath). Rob Greenlea directed the episode written by Eric Carrasco & Greg Baldwin (#219)

Moving on, it looks like The Flash will deliver in spades on Tuesday, May 2 with “I Know Who You Are.” From that, we can guess that this may very well be when we learn the true identity of Savitar, unless, of course, the cat gets let out of the bag in the preceding episode. Regardless, it’s exciting to know that we could finally see the showdown between Killer Frost and Vibe that was teased in a vision earlier this season.

Here’s the lowdown on this one:

VIBE FACES OFF AGAINST KILLER FROST – Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team meet Tracy Brand (guest star Anne Dudek), a scientist, who may be the key to stopping Savitar. Unfortunately, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) is also after Tracy so Team Flash must battle their old friend, which proves to be particularly difficult for Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Cecile’s (guest star Danielle Nicolet) relationship takes a big turn. Hanelle Culpepper directed the episode written by Bronwen Clark & Joshua V. Gilbert (#320).

Finally, “Olicity” once again rears its ugly head with “Underneath.” Knowing that Oliver and Felicity will reflect on their breakup, I can’t help but compare their getting trapped together in a bunker to when Will Smith and one of his onscreen girlfriends found themselves in a similar situation during a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air clip show.

As for what we know about the Wednesday, May 3 episode of Arrow, here goes nothing:

OLIVER AND FELICITY ARE TRAPPED — Things get intense when Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are trapped in the bunker together. Meanwhile, Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) and Diggle (David Ramsey) deal with their marital issues. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Beth Schwartz (#520).
