9 Comic Book Characters That Are Funnier Than Deadpool

After the gigantic success of 2016’s Deadpool, everyone’s a Wade Wilson fan all of sudden. Yeah, the character’s a humorous fella, but for the love of Aunt May’s floral curtains and gingerbread cookies, he isn’t the Michael Jordan of comic book funnymen.

You see, the Merc with a Mouth is like the loud, obnoxious clown in your high school class. He made you laugh and clap at all the hilarity he caused back then, but years later, you shake your head at the special kind of stupid he actually was. It’s like re-watching Adam Sandler’s filmography in 2017 and expecting to enjoy it – or even chuckle.

In an effort to prove that there are funnier comic book characters than the big D to the Pool, we’ve tracked down a group of the comedic hard-hitters. Much like comedy, though, their approaches differ and not everyone will rely on fart jokes or slapstick shticks to get their point across. Some of them prefer the art of subtlety – something that’s obviously a foreign concept to Wade.
