The Memory Of Black Canary Looms In Arrow Season 6 Concept Art

Admittedly, Laurel Lance's death in season 4 came as a shock to us all and was rightfully met with much displeasure, but, in the time since, you have to admit that her untimely passing has added more gravitas to Oliver Queen's crusade. Not only that, but his newest recruits have seen her selfless heroism as a source of inspiration. Thus, Arrow rolls on and continues to become a stronger product.

Now, it doesn’t take the more eagle-eyed among you to notice that whenever we spend substantial time in the Arrow Cave waiting for somebody to “suit up” or to “hit the streets to gather intel,” we can see the team’s stylish costumes adorning one of several mannequins until they’re next put to use.

From what we can tell, one of those display cases will get a bit of a makeover in the coming season, probably due to there being a new Black Canary running around in the form of Dinah Drake. Thus, it appears the memory of Laurel will be preserved via something resembling what Batman used to honor the second Robin, Jason Todd.

Remembering the cliffhanger we were left on, in addition to recently hearing that death may not be the only consequence brought forth by season 5’s finale, we’re left wondering just what’ll make life for the surviving members of Team Arrow difficult for the foreseeable future. Still, everything points toward all things Canary being vital cogs in the machine, especially with Black Siren playing a key role going forward.

Arrow returns for its sixth season on Thursday, October 12 on The CW. Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the usual place below!
