Here’s When We’ll See The First Trailer For The Walking Dead Season 8

It’s fair to say that The Walking Dead‘s seventh season was the most controversial run of the smash-hit post-apocalyptic drama to date. Though it still has its fans, the shocking opening episode and the slow, protracted pace of the rest of the season rubbed many people the wrong way. The final few episodes ramped up the interest again, however, by positioning the people of Alexandria, the Kingdom and Hilltop against Negan and his Saviors.

For season 8, then, things are sure to get a whole lot more action-packed, with the stakes being higher than ever before. We’ve been teased with all-out war and episodes that will be kinetic and fast paced, all of which has put a smile on the face of many a fan. To say that anticipation is high right now is an understatement, a big one, and with Comic-Con right around the corner, the excitement is starting to skyrocket.

Why? Well, because AMC will use the San Diego-based event to release the first trailer for season 8, finally giving us a look at what’s in store for Rick and co. when they return to our screens in the fall.

While that’s old news and something we’ve all known for a while now, what we have for you today is a more exact time frame of when you can expect to see the footage. AMC will hit Hall H at the convention on July 21st, with Fear the Walking Dead taking the stage at 11:15am PT and The Walking Dead then stepping into the spotlight at 12:15pm PT. It’s at that point we’ll finally get the first trailer for the upcoming season, with AMC debuting it first for those in attendance before making it available online shortly after.

As for what we’ll see in the trailer, well, we don’t know just yet. However, a few weeks back, Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron on the show, had this to say about it:

“I think, I mean, for as cool as the Tiger is, we all love Shiva, but I think what we’ve got to show here in season 8 is going to trump everything that we’ve ever done on the show by far.”

Excited yet? We sure are, and you best keep your eyes fixed on We Got This Covered next month during Comic-Con as we’ll have that new Walking Dead trailer for you the moment it’s online. Stay tuned!
