Fear The Walking Dead Midseason Finale Heralds The Return Of A Familiar Face

Ofelia Salazar makes her return in this new promo for Fear The Walking Dead's midseason finale, and it seems she's fallen under the ranks of Walker.

Nipping at the undead heels of last night’s “Red Dirt,” Fear The Walking Dead is gearing up for its two-part midseason finale.

The AMC spinoff series, which is now in the midst of its third year on the airwaves, continues to score relatively well ratings-wise, even if it can never quite attract the same audience as its groundbreaking ancestor, The Walking Dead. And really, that’s okay.

Even before the network launched its companion series back in 2015, Fear The Walking Dead has always been viewed as its own separate beast, and now, with season 3’s halfway point looming large on the horizon, viewers are preparing to bid adieu to the Otto family – for now, at least. So, get ready to clear your weekend schedule; Fear The Walking Dead season 3 will roll out its midseason finale in the form of “The Unveiling” and “Children of Wrath,” and today brings forth a new promo for the former instalment.

Embedded above, it heralds the return of a familiar face in Ofelia Salazar, who seems to have fallen under the ranks of Walker and his Native American posse. Here’s the logline:

A new arrival sows a divide within the ranch. Meanwhile, Alicia forms a new relationship in the hopes of maintaining peace.

Following that is “Children of Wrath,” which is described as so:

Madison must negotiate the terms of an agreement in the midst of ranch-wide turmoil, and Nick and Alicia challenge their mother’s motives.

Fear The Walking Dead‘s two-part finale kicks off on Sunday, July 9th at 9/8c on AMC. It’s shaping up to be a huge fortnight for TV content, too, what with the oncoming premiere of Game of Thrones season 7. Expect that one to air via HBO on Sunday, July 16th.
