‘What is this?’: Chick-fil-A customer opens a mysterious giveaway. Then the animal-shaped gadget leaves her completely baffled

Now that's a smart design

A trip through the drive-thru turned into an unboxing moment nobody quite expected, and the internet has been trying to make sense of it ever since.

Chick-fil-A‘s Kids’ Meal toys have occasionally attracted as much attention as the food itself, and the chain’s latest addition to that lineup is no exception. A TikTok creator named Emma found herself holding a small, white, cow-themed object shaped like an inhaler and started questioning what she’d been given.

The clip opens inside a car, where on-screen text reads “Got my chick-fil-a inhaler.” Emma then turns the camera around, holds up the packaging and asks, “Chick fil A. What is this?” She follows up with, “It looks like you’re giving away cow inhalers.”

A toy with a familiar shape

By the end of the video, she brings the item closer to the lens, revealing a small handheld device with a white body, black detailing and cartoon-style features that resemble Chick-fil-A’s longtime cow mascot. A second line of text closes out the clip: “Go get your cow inhaler today!”

Fast-food kids’ meal promotions have long relied on novelty, with chains like McDonald’s rotating through tie-in collections based on major movie releases as a way of giving each promotion its own hook.

Chick-fil-A’s cow-branded merchandise, meanwhile, has developed a following well beyond its intended audience, much like fast-food toys that outlive the promotions they were originally made for. The inhaler-shaped design gives that familiar cow branding a particularly strange twist, although the video never explains what the toy is actually supposed to do.

The clip has pulled in more than 844,000 views and over 300 comments, with viewers trying to figure out what the strange little device is actually for.

The comments quickly turned into a guessing game. One viewer wrote, “It’s a cow tipping game.” Others weighed in on Chick-fil-A’s toys more generally, with one person saying, “They have the WORST toys. We gave up and swap for ice dream cups.”

A third comment leaned into the inhaler comparison directly, joking, “As a CFA worker with asthma this is so funny,” while another asked, only half-jokingly, “Okay but like will my inhaler fit is the question?”

Chick-fil-A has not put out any official description of the toy’s design or explained the inhaler resemblance. Emma’s video also doesn’t show any packaging details or instructions that would clarify its purpose, and the company has not addressed the comparison. For now, the shape is about all there is to go on.
