Chris Pratt And Bryce Dallas Howard Get Wet In New Jurassic World 2 Set Photos

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is currently shooting in Hawaii, but with production about to wrap, it's a bit odd that we haven't seen too much from the set. A couple of photos have snuck out here and there but for a film as big as this, there hasn't been the usual deluge of pics. Thankfully, we do have a few more snaps to share with you today, as Just Jared has brought us a handful of photos that feature stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is currently shooting in Hawaii, but with production about to wrap, it’s a bit odd that we haven’t seen too much from the set. A couple of photos have snuck out here and there but for a film as big as this, there hasn’t been the usual deluge of pics. Thankfully, we do have a few more snaps to share with you today, as Just Jared has brought us a handful of photos that feature stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Seen in the gallery above, it appears as if the actors are shooting some kind of action scene involving the ocean, as they look exhausted and out of breath. Perhaps it’s that aquatic dinos and submarine sequence we’ve heard so much about?

It should also be noted that Howard’s in boots here, after receiving quite a bit of backlash for running around Jurassic World in heels. Aside from that though, it’s hard to say what might be going on in these photos, as Universal’s been keeping a pretty tight lid on this one so far.

What we can tell you, though, is that Sherlock‘s Toby Jones, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith and Rafe Spall are among the newcomers on board for Juan Antonio Bayona’s horror-oriented sequel, which will seemingly incorporate themes of animal abuse and even more genetically modified dinos into its story. That screenplay, one penned by Colin Trevorrow (Star Wars: Episode IX) and Derek Connolly, is expected to leave the door open for a third (and final?) installment in Universal’s rebooted franchise, given the Powers That Be have already mapped out plans for a trilogy of big-budget dino movies.

But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves; Fallen Kingdom is next in line to tumble off the studio’s slate, and one can only assume that the title is referring to Isla Nublar, the idyllic isle that has essentially become ground zero of the Jurassic franchise since its inception in ’93, when Steven Spielberg adapted Michael Crichton’s sci-fi classic for the silver screen. As a matter of fact, given that JW2 is currently lensing across parts of Hawaii, as mentioned above, we readily expect the fictional island to feature quite prominently in Bayona’s follow-up.

With the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom said to arrive at Comic-Con, we should start to learn more about the highly anticipated blockbuster shortly. Until then, though, take a look at the new set pics up above and let us know what you think may be going on in them.
