Team Flash Won’t Agree On Rescuing Barry When Season 4 Begins

As the trailer released back at Comic-Con showed, The Flash's season 4 premiere will see the members of Team Flash still reeling from the loss of their leader Barry Allen. We know, though, that the one and only Scarlet Speedster will re-emerge from the Speed Force very soon - probably by the end of the episode - but it turns out that not everyone in the group thinks he should return.

As the trailer released back at Comic-Con showed, The Flash‘s season 4 premiere will see the members of Team Flash still reeling from the loss of their leader Barry Allen. We know, though, that the one and only Scarlet Speedster will re-emerge from the Speed Force very soon – probably by the end of the episode – but it turns out that not everyone in the group thinks he should return.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Carlos Valdes revealed that, though Cisco is determined to bring back his best friend, at least one character disagrees:

“I wish I could say that the team unanimously agrees that things are not the same when the season starts, but not everybody feels that way. Most of the energy on the team is toward getting Barry back, and Cisco may or may not have some things up his sleeve with regards with how to make that happen, but there is a member of the team that’s not on board, and that ultimately makes the mission to get Barry back a lot more difficult. But the thing about Cisco is if he wants to get his friends back, he will do whatever it takes the get his friends back — and that’s not just Barry.”

So, Flash fans, who’s Carlos talking about here? Which of Team Flash would believe that either Barry, or the world is better off with the Scarlet Speedster trapped in the Speed Force?

Well, presumably neither Iris or Joe, as they would want their fiancee/foster son back. It could be Caitlin then, considering her personality is very different now that she’s somewhere between her old self and Killer Frost. Or maybe it’s H.R.? He was always the voice of reason of the group, so maybe he thinks it would be too dangerous to mess with the Speed Force?

One way or another, we’ll get to see who’s causing this rift in the team when The Flash returns to The CW on Tuesday October 10th.
