So much attention has been paid to the core six members of Justice LeagueHenry Cavill’s Man of Steel included – that you’d almost be forgiven for overlooking some of the film’s big-name supporting players.

Much like how The Defenders plucks a handful of allies from Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones and tosses them into the one super-powered melting pot, Justice League has filled its cast by cherry-picking the likes of Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta) and Robin Wright (General Antiope) from Wonder Woman, along with Kiersey Clemons (Iris West) and Billy Crudup (Dr. Henry Allen) from the upcoming Flash solo movie, which is now going by the name Flashpoint.

Switching gears to Aquaman, and erstwhile director Zack Snyder has already confirmed the inclusion of Amber Heard’s Mera, rightful Queen of Atlantis, who will be rubbing shoulders with both Jason Momoa (Arthur Curry) and Vulko (Willem Dafoe) before breaking off to launch James Wan’s Aquaman spinoff late next year. The cameras are still rolling Down Under, so don’t expect a formal update from Wan and his team for some time yet.

Thankfully, Justice League is almost upon us, and now that the film’s marketing campaign has taken into effect, Twitter account DCEU Chambers has relayed a new action shot of Queen Mera standing tall. This image is plastered onto the side of the Mera Barbie doll figure, which will likely grace store shelves imminently (if it hasn’t already). For those looking forward to JL assembling, it offers up a sneak peek at Heard’s ally decked out in her Atlantean armor.

It’s a historic cinematic crossover long foretold, and on November 17th, Justice League will light up theaters the world over. The real question now is whether JL can possibly attain the success of Wonder Woman – for the record, Patty Jenkins’ spinoff has now surpassed $400 million domestically – or succumb to the same level of mediocrity as, say, Batman v Superman. Time will tell.
