Gotham Season 4 Photos Reveal New Characters

Gotham returns to Fox for its fourth season tomorrow night and from what we've heard, this new run is set to be the most thrilling yet, as it'll push its ensemble cast of heroes and villains ever closer to where we know they must end up, as per the Batman comics universe. For instance, Bruce Wayne is set to step up and begin operating as a masked vigilante for the first time - albeit sans bat-ears.

Speaking of Gotham‘s eclectic ensemble, a new photo of the cast has dropped online today and it gives us another look at two fresh additions to the show’s line-up. Namely, Crystal Reed’s Sofia Falcone and Alexander Siddig as Ra’s Al-Ghul. If you recall, the latter actually appeared during the tail-end of season 3 but has been bumped up to a regular this time around.

You can check out the pic in the gallery below along with a number of other new photos that Fox debuted.

As far as the cast shot goes, from left to right we have: Erin Richards (Barbara Kean), Robin Lord Taylor (Penguin), Jessica Lucas (Tabitha Galavan), Cory Michael Smith (Riddler), Crystal Reed (Sofia Falcone), David Mazouz (Bruce Wayne), Ben McKenzie (Jim Gordon), Camren Bicondova (Selina Kyle), Sean Pertwee (Alfred), Chris Chalk (Lucius Fox), Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock), Morena Baccarin (Leslie Thompkins) and Alexander Siddig (Ra’s Al-Ghul).

Two major players are notable by their absence here. First is Charlie Tahan, who’s reprising his role as Jonathan Crane from season 1, and will this time be suiting up as Crane’s supervillain alias the Scarecrow to terrorize Gotham. Drew Powell is also returning as Butch Gilzean – recently revealed to be Cyrus Gold AKA zombie Solomon Grundy.

We’re not sure why they’ve been omitted from this photo, but you can definitely see them both in action on Gotham this year when it premieres on Fox this Thursday, September 21st.
