Avengers: Infinity War Promo Art Shows Off Captain America, Doctor Strange And More

Though we were supposed to see the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War with the premiere of Inhumans, or at least, there were rumors pointing to that happening, September 29th has now come and gone and we still don't have anything. It's likely to remain that way for a little while longer, too, after Marvel's Louis D'Esposito took to Twitter earlier today to update fans on the status of the preview, saying that it's not even done yet.

So, while we continue to wait – impatiently, might we add – some new promo art has surfaced that might just help tide us over until that first bit of footage arrives. It’s low-res and hardly the most exciting look at the film, but down in the gallery below you’ll see some photos that have been doing the rounds on Reddit lately, showing off characters like Captain America, Doctor Strange, Thor, Black Widow and more.

Again, it’s not much, but at this stage, we’re willing to take what we can get and if nothing else, the fact that this stuff is starting to surface means that it won’t be too much longer now before the studio really gets things going on the marketing front. Besides, even though the images we have here are far from the best quality, it’s nice to get another look at these characters regardless.

Though we’re still waiting on a date for that first trailer, what we can tell you at the moment is that Joe and Anthony Russo’s landmark event movie is currently on course for a release on May 4th, 2018, and it’ll herald the advent of Josh Brolin’s Mad Titan and his squadron of galactic accomplices.

Yes, after much foreshadowing, we know Thanos to be the primary antagonist of the Russo Brothers’ ensemble piece, who wages an Infinity War to bring ‘balance’ back to the universe. Standing in his way are Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, along with some of their newfound allies: Spider-Man, for one, along with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, and even Loki, who appeared to be holding the Tesseract in that leaked teaser trailer.

Packed to the rafters with scene-stealing chemistry and “intense surprises,” Avengers: Infinity War is now less than a year away, while the fourth, so-far untitled Avengers film will follow it in May of 2019, by which point viewers will be acquainted with Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers and her ’90s-set origin story. March 8th, 2019 is the date for your diaries for that one.
