Victor Garber Exiting Legends Of Tomorrow This Season

Since being introduced over on The Flash during its first season, Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) has been one of the stalwarts of the Arrowverse. And since his debut, he’s moved on to Legends of Tomorrow as one of the two parts that make up the nuclear hero Firestorm. Quite frankly, it’s become difficult to imagine that show without him.

Well, it looks like we’ll soon have to imagine no longer because, according to Deadline, Garber will be taking his final bow at some point this season. Actually, the outlet said they’d heard rumblings of such a thing happening since late last season, with chatter intensifying over the summer. Furthermore, September’s announcement of the veteran actor’s return to Broadway via an upcoming production of Hello, Dolly! was seemingly the final nail in the coffin.

There is a silver lining to this, though, and that’ll be a clean, carefully planned exit for the Martin Stein character. And while the parameters of that remain unknown, our educated guess says that it may happen during this fall’s big DC TV crossover, “Crisis on Earth-X.”

Still, this makes us ponder the future of the other half of Firestorm, Franz Drameh’s Jefferson Jackson. Will he have to find someone else to bond with or will he, too, be leaving the series? Furthermore, since Garber isn’t expected to return, one can only assume that it’ll be Brandon Routh who gets promoted to having top billing.

Legends of Tomorrow airs on Tuesday nights on The CW. For more regarding season 3, be sure to check out our review.
