DC Teams With Mercedes-Benz For Justice League Motion Comics Based On The Movie

As far back as I can remember, tie-in comics were just something to be expected whenever a new superhero movie arrived in cinemas. To this day, I still have my copies of adaptations for Batman Returns and Batman Forever. But unfortunately, the industry has somewhat shied away from this practice over the years, with such books now being few and far between.

And although it’s not necessarily a straight-up adaptation of the upcoming Justice League flick by any means, it’s pretty cool to see the medium that inspired the blockbuster hasn’t been forgotten. Much like the various variant covers that’ll soon flood comic shops, this new line of digital motion comics should do a decent job of whetting our appetites.

Thanks to a joint venture involving DC and Mercedes-Benz, each of these bite-size tales will spotlight Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince, Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne and Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry in the coming weeks. The first offering, “Joyride,” centers on Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen and Ray Fisher’s Victor Stone, and was recently debuted on the car company’s Instagram page.

Written by Adam Schlagman, who serves as Creative Director, Theatrical at DC Entertainment, and drawn in the screen actors’ likenesses by fan favorite artist Jason Badower, the six-part series is expected to unfold on Mercedes-Benz’s social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr, so be sure to to stay tuned to each of those.

Justice League opens in theaters on November 17. In the meantime, let us know what you thought about Barry and Vic’s little side quest in the usual place below!
