Elongated Man Debuts In New Images From The Flash

So far, the latest season of The Flash hasn't wasted any time when it comes to introducing more heroes and villains culled from the DC Universe, with the likes of the Thinker and Hazard already putting in appearances. But next week, we'll be treated to what may be one of the more memorable debuts to be seen this year when Hartley Sawyer makes his first appearance as Ralphy Dibny AKA the Elongated Man.

But next week, we’ll be treated to what may be one of the more memorable debuts to be seen this year when Hartley Sawyer makes his first appearance as Ralphy Dibny AKA the Elongated Man.

What’s especially exciting about this is that “Elongated Journey Into Night” will be the first time the character of Dibny will have ever been seen in live action. Previously, he’s appeared on animated favorites such as Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold, but you have to admit there’s something special about seeing flesh and blood actors embodying beloved superheroes. There’s one thing to keep in mind, however, that being Ralph seemingly won’t get along with Barry Allen at first. Still, we expect the two to patch up things before long because a mind as great as Dibny’s will prove to be a valuable resource in the coming battle against the Thinker.

Also of note is that this episode – and the gallery above – introduce us to Gypsy’s father, Breacher, who’s being played by the one and only Danny Trejo. From what the images tell us, the situation involving Cisco Ramon and his gal pal from Earth-19 is starting to get pretty hot and heavy, so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that her no-nonsense dad is none too happy.

For more, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

TOM CAVANAGH DIRECTS; DANNY TREJO GUEST STARS AS BREACHER — Cisco (Carlos Valdes) is shocked when Gypsy’s (guest star Jessica Camacho) father, Breacher (guest star Danny Trejo), shows up on Earth-1. Breacher takes an immediate disliking to Cisco and decides to hunt him. Meanwhile, Barry (Grant Gustin) runs into his old nemesis, Ralph Dibny (guest star Hartley Sawyer). Tom Cavanagh directed the episode written by Sterling Gates & Thomas Pound

The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
