With little over a week to go until Justice League‘s long-awaited theatrical release, there’s a real crackle of excitement simmering beneath the feet of Warner’s super-team.
Comprised of the Caped Crusader (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), each founding member has already enjoyed their time in the spotlight, after Warner Bros. capped off its themed marketing blitz with an entire week dedicated to Gotham’s Dark Knight, all the while honoring Mexico’s DÃa de Los Muertos.
But there’s only so much footage that Warner can show prior to release, and to commemorate the recent Justice League Experience that took place in London, we now have a raft of candid photos that place DC’s costumed crusaders in their natural environment – or “super rooms,” if we’re using the official PR buzzword. Barry Allen, for instance, settles in for some light reading, while Aquaman looks ready to serve up a stiff drink.
There’s also a group shot that includes Henry Cavill and his so-called porn mustache, which reportedly caused quite a few headaches for the film’s special effects team – back when Joss Whedon was orchestrating Justice League‘s reshoots and pick-ups, word is Cavill was contractually obliged to keep his lip fuzz, likely due to his role in Paramount’s untitled Mission: Impossible 6. Ethan Hunt and Co. will be back on screens in July of next year, and that’s despite Tom Cruise suffering an injury during the midst of production.
Said to be tracking for a $120 million opening weekend at the domestic box office, Justice League will finally light up theaters on November 17th. And when it does, it’ll come packing not one, but two post-credits scenes.
