Dreams Come True With Jason Vs. Michael Part 2 Trailer

When you think about it, it's actually a bit crazy that Jason Voorhees hasn't squared off against Michael Myers yet. I mean, they're two of the most iconic horror characters around and in this particular genre, crossovers and mash-ups are a dime a dozen. Understandably, fans have wanted to see a fight between the two slashers ever since their inception and while there's still no studio movies out there that will deliver that, we do have the next best thing.

A while back, YouTube user Stryder HD released an epic fan-made trailer for Jason vs. Michael, sending horror fans everywhere into a frenzy. Comprised of clips taken from each killer’s franchise (Friday the 13th and Halloween, respectively), and Trent Duncan’s fan film from a few years back, it was very well done and seemed to be received positively enough for the video editor to now put together a sequel.

Yes, that’s right. Up above you’ll see Jason vs. Michael Part 2 in all its glory. According to Stryder HD, the clip introduces a “few more elements into the equation and is basically a battle trailer.” As with Part 1, horror fans will surely get a kick out of watching these two legends go at it and it’s not only the titular slashers who are featured here, as we also see Ash from The Evil Dead franchise, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre films, Regan from The Exorcist and more.

Circling back to the two main stars though, and in terms of where you can see these legends next in a more official capacity, well, Michael will actually be back on the big screen quite soon, as there’s a new reboot brewing in development. Headed up by Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, it’ll be with us by next October and is said to be taking the series back to its roots. Details beyond that are scarce, but the film is certainly coming together quickly.

Jason, on the other hand, isn’t doing too hot. Though a reboot was planned, it’s since been cancelled and when you combine that with the legal issues surrounding the franchise, it doesn’t look too likely that we’ll be seeing the slasher in theatres at any point in the near future.

Thankfully, then, we’ve got this new Jason vs. Michael fan-made trailer to tide us over. Give it a watch up above and as always, let us know your thoughts on it in the comments section.
