Did The Flash Just Set Up A Way For Kid Flash To Appear On Titans?

The Flash fans were left up in arms when Kid Flash himself, Wally West, suddenly announced that he was leaving Central City at the end of episode 3. He's turned up a couple of times since then, notably for the first part in last week's "Crisis on Earth-X", but right now. it doesn't look like he's coming back to the series full time at any point. While this might sound like a big shame, there could be a silver lining, as it's possible that Kid Flash might be turning up on another upcoming DC TV show instead.

In The Flash‘s midseason finale, “Don’t Run,” Wally was absent from the West family Christmas festivities. When Harry inquires about his location, Joe mentions that his son is in Cambodia. On the surface, there’s nothing odd about that. After all, we know that Wally is on a journey of self discovery, so it makes sense that he would do a bit of travelling and sight-seeing, too. However, Cambodia might not have been chosen at random.

You see, in the comics, Slade Wilson AKA Deathstroke has a daughter, Rose Wilson, usually known as Ravager, and her mother, Lilian Worth, is Cambodian. Rose also has a strong tie to Wally in the comics as the pair are both members of the Teen Titans.

So, is The Flash hinting that Kid Flash is seeking out other young heroes? And could Ravager and Kid Flash team up one day? Well, it’s possible, but probably not on this show.

There’s an exciting fan theory doing the rounds that Keiynan Lonsdale’s character is going to appear on the incoming Titans. That series, starring Brenton Thwaites as Robin, is set to appear on a DC-only streaming service, which at first suggests it won’t tie into The CW’s Arrowverse. But it’s worth remembering that Arrowverse creator Greg Berlanti is exec producing Titans as well, so you never know.

With Wally flying running solo and potentially encountering other Teen Titans, this offers the show a perfect opportunity to bring Kid Flash into the fold. Even without the exciting crossover element, this is a must. After all, are the Teen Titans really the Teen Titans without Wally West?

For now, this is just a fun bit of speculation, but we’re intrigued to see if anything comes of it when Titans lands sometime in 2018. The Flash, meanwhile, returns to our screens on January, 16th.
