Most of the time the internet is at war, but on rare occasions everyone is able to agree on something: one of those things is the fact that Oscar Isaac would make a perfect Gomez Addams in a new adaptation of The Addams Family. Now, proving that if you wish hard enough dreams do come true, the latest word on the grapevine has it that this is really happening.

Tracking Board is reporting that the Star Wars actor is currently in talks to voice the Addams family patriarch in the upcoming animated movie, which was announced the other month. Production on the film is currently underway in Vancouver, with Sausage Party director Conrad Vernon helming the project for MGM. Corpse Bride‘s Pamela Pettler wrote the script, with revisions by Matt Lieberman.

There’s no word just yet on who could play the rest of the ooky, kooky family, but there is another obvious contender to bring Gomez’s beloved wife Morticia to life. Alongside Oscar Isaac, people have been campaigning for Eva Green to portray the beautiful, gothic Mrs. Addams. Seeing as MGM have listened to the fans in casting Gomez, hopefully they’ll pay attention to everyone’s top choice for his spouse, as well.

If you can’t see either Isaac or Green in these parts, then some industrious fans are on hand to help. Digital artist Boss Logic whipped up an image imagining the actors appearing as Gomez and Morticia in a live-action movie not too long ago, while a mock trailer (above) cleverly used clips from the pair’s other roles to cook up a teaser for a new Addams Family film (which was so good, many believed it was real).

The Addams Family animated movie doesn’t yet have a release date, but in the meantime, tell us, who would you like to see play the other members of the clan? Sound off down below!
