Though it may err on the side of hyperbole, Marvel’s first teaser for Avengers: Infinity War almost sent the Internet into a collective tailspin.

Initially released back in November, the record-setting trailer (108 million views and counting) sparked heated debate online, as fans began drawing up countless theories based on a single reel of footage. And that’s just it – Marvel has only shared one promo for Avengers: Infinity War hitherto, meaning there’s still an awful lot we don’t know about Joe and Anthony Russo’s titanic sequel.

It’s a cinematic event in the eyes of Karen Gillan, whose Nebula will be hoping to exact revenge on the invading Thanos. But if Marvel and its super-sized cast are keeping mum, then the MCU’s legions of fans have taken it upon themselves to design a series of wonderful Infinity War posters, and the latest comes from a Reddit user called spdrmnkyXXIII and can be seen in the gallery down below along with a few others.

It’s a beautiful, cosmic one-sheet that ships Earth’s Mightiest Heroes off to space, and you’ll also notice that a strange alien world looms in the background. According to online theorists, it’s the same one that featured in the Infinity War teaser, and we assume a fair portion of Marvel’s 2018 blockbuster takes place off Earth. Not that we can say we haven’t seen it coming.

In fact, thanks to Scarlet Witch and Age of Ultron, Marvel fans (and Tony Stark!) already bore witness to a nightmarish future in which the corpses of the Avengers lay scattered across a rocky, moon-like surface. A sign of things to come, perhaps? Remember, not everyone will make it out of Infinity War alive, so place your bets.

After 10 years and 17 films’ worth of build-up – Black Panther notwithstanding – Avengers: Infinity War is finally prepped and ready to deliver a huge climax on May 4th.
