The Shocking Truth Is Revealed In Arrow Midseason Premiere Synopsis

Arrow's midseason finale saw Team Arrow at their lowest point, as half the crime-fighting group walked away from the Arrowcave due to a fallout with Oliver Queen. It turned out, though, that this was all part of a fiendish scheme from Cayden James, who's formed a Legion of Doom-style villain team-up with the likes of Black Siren, Vigilante, Ricardo Diaz and Anatoly Knyazev.

When Arrow returns for its midseason premiere, titled “Divided,” next month, Green Arrow’s conflict with Cayden James’ criminal cabal will intensify. Now that the synopsis for the episode has been revealed, we know that Oliver will find out a “shocking truth” about the Helix hacker that will lead him to unite with an “unlikely ally.”

Here’s the full thing, courtesy of The CW:

OLIVER DISCOVERS A SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT CAYDEN JAMES — Despite losing half his team, Oliver (Stephen Amell) remains confident that he, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey) can stop Cayden James (guest star Michael Emerson) and Black Siren (Katie Cassidy).

However, when he discovers one of Cayden’s secrets, he decides to team up with an unlikely ally. Meanwhile, Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) spends time with Vince (guest star Johann Urb). James Bamford directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Emilio Ortega Aldrich (#610). Original airdate 1/18/2018.

So, who is this surprising situational ally of Oliver’s? It could be Black Siren, as Earth-2’s evil version of Laurel Lance is clearly being set up for a redemption this season. However, the way the synopsis is worded – with Black Siren being described as paired with James – suggests that this is not the case, for this episode at least.

Who could it be, then? And will Mister Terrific, Black Canary and Wild Dog return to work alongside the Emerald Archer in this episode, or will their split be a long-term plotline? Time will tell, but color us intrigued.

Arrow season 6, episode 10 airs on The CW on January 18th.
