The Legion Of Super-Heroes Unite In New Supergirl Trailer

Even with an extended hiatus looming, it sure does look like Supergirl will squeeze in a fair amount of memorable moments within the four episodes set to air over the next few weeks. For starters, the Legion of Super-Heroes will be making their presence known in the midseason premiere itself.

So far, the network has been slowly pulling back the curtain on each individual member of one of DC’s oldest and most beloved super teams. Just last week, for instance, we got our first look at Brainiac 5 and, more recently, we saw both Mon-El and Saturn Girl suit up.

This time around, it’s a new trailer that’s getting us primed for next week’s episode. Believe us, if you weren’t already pumped for the midseason premiere, you will be now.

In it, we see the Legion come together at a time when Kara is unable to protect National City. And, to be honest, one has to wonder how well they’ll fair against the immensely powerful Reign, who is generously showcased in the new promo. Our guess is not too well, at least for the time being.

For more on “Legion of Super-Heroes,” be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

MEET THE LEGION – Struggling to heal from her injuries inflicted by Reign (Odette Annable), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) remains in a dreamlike state, unable to be reached. Mon-El (Chris Wood) recruits one of the Legion members, Brainiac-5 (guest star Jesse Rath), to try to bring her back. Meanwhile, Reign continues her rampage on the city so the DEO teams up with the Legion of Superheroes to try to stop her. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Derek Simon & Eric Carrasco (#310). Original airdate 1/15/18.

Supergirl returns with new episodes on Monday, January 15 on The CW.
