The Flash And Arrow Slated To Take Valentine’s Day Week Off

While it’s become apparent that we’re going to get a decent helping of DC TV for the week of February 12 – largely due to the midseason premiere of Legends of Tomorrow and what’s sure to be a kick-ass new episode of Black Lightning – the reality of the situation is that we won’t be enjoying a full plate.

You see, both The Flash and Arrow are expected to take that very week off, thus creating a void in our viewing habits. And while it remains unknown how long we’ll have to wait until their respective fourteenth episodes will air, this will in no way be comparable to the extended hiatus that Supergirl will soon endure, so there’s really no reason to freak out.

Now, this is causing some to speculate why the short vacation, but we’re guessing it’s mostly due to the fact that it’s the week of Valentine’s Day, and perhaps the network doesn’t want either show to compete with the 2018 Winter Olympics. We also need to consider the possibility of a mini-crossover occurring later in the season, so they may see it best not to delay one show and keep the other going so that everything properly aligns when the time comes.

When it comes to the length of the break, we really don’t see it as lasting more than a week or two because springtime hiatuses often don’t occur until after episode 16, those of which tend to last for about a month. But hey, the synopses for the following week’s episodes will drop later this week, so we may get our answer before long.

Finally, in case you were wondering what’s slated to air the week in question, The Flash will treating us to an encore of “Don’t Run,” the game-changing midseason finale. As for Arrow, its midseason premiere, “Divided,” will be gracing our TVs yet again.
