Before the Philadelphia Eagles swooped in to collect the coveted trophy, and Justin Timberlake wowed the audience with his halftime show, Hollywood’s biggest studios paraded their wares for all to see, beginning with Avengers: Infinity War.

It’s been described as the biggest film in the history of Marvel Studios, and one need only look to the online buzz for proof that Infinity War is far and away the most-anticipated release of 2018. Slated for May 4th, and therefore due to emerge from the shadow of Black Panther, Joe and Anthony Russo’s superhero extravaganza is practically in a league of its own when it comes to generating hype, as last night’s 30-second Super Bowl promo was enough to bring the Internet to a standstill. And what a promo it was.

Between a new look at Bucky’s upgraded arm, the reunion of Marvel’s science duo, a potential X-Men tie-in and more, there was a lot to dissect. And now, as fans continue to pore over each and every frame, a fun little callback to Captain America: Civil War has been spotted. It’s nothing terribly significant, but take a look at the first photo in the gallery below and you’ll see what we’re referring to.

Yes, the shot of the aforementioned threequel’s post-credits scene, in which Cap and T’Challa look through a window at Wakanda, mirrors the shot in the new Infinity War promo where Rogers is testing out his gauntlets. Again, it’s nothing that will stop the presses, but given that the Russos helmed both movies, it’s a nice nod to their previous effort and something that surely a lot of fans picked up on.

And we don’t imagine it’ll be the only callback to be included in the pic either, for on May 4th, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will culminate in spectacular fashion thanks to the release of Avengers: Infinity War. It’s merely the first chapter in a two-part finale, though, as the so-far untitled Avengers 4 is still booked in for 2019.

And after that? Who knows. With so many contracts to suss out, Marvel Studios still has some big decisions to make, but if this is to be the last hurrah for Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man, then many of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are about to go out with a bang.
