Though it struggled to leave much of an impression two weeks ago – ratings for “Honor” were lower than any mid-season premiere in The Walking Dead history – AMC’s undead flagship marches on.

Next up is the premiere of this Sunday’s “Dead or Alive Or,” but before we get too far ahead of ourselves, ComicBook.com has now shared a gallery of behind-the-scenes photos for “The Lost And The Plunderers,” which allows viewers to take a moment to reflect on the first Walking Dead episode sans Chandler Riggs.

As any fan will tell you, young Carl Grimes was written out of the series during the midseason premiere, which only makes news of those lowly ratings all the more surprising. Nevertheless, down below you’ll find an entire gallery dedicated to The Walking Dead season 8, episode 10, beginning with a shot of Pollyanna McIntosh’s Jadis.

That character has emerged as something of a fan-favorite in recent episodes, leading many to wonder if McIntosh will take the plunge, shave her head, and portray Whisperer Leader Alpha in a future outing of The Walking Dead.

Chalk that up as innocent conjecture for now, though, as AMC is yet to divulge any firm plans to adapt The Whisperers storyline – either in season 8 or beyond. Still, it’s fair to say that Pollyanna McIntosh would bring all of the intensity one would associate with a group of preternatural savages.

And while season 8 has had its fair share of ups and downs – both behind the lens, and in front – The Walking Dead continues to grip audiences with each passing week, and this Sunday’s “Dear or Alive Or” promises to be another exercise in nerve-shredding tension.
