The Black Widow actress was recently quoted as saying that Joe and Anthony Russo’s super-sized event movie, one which currently finds itself on the cover of Empire Magazine, unfolds across three different fronts, as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and their newfound allies confront the Mad Titan himself, Thanos.

And so, with Black Widow and Captain America (Nomad?) building bridges in Wakanda, and Thor exploring the dark recesses of space alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy, it’s up to Iron Man to defend New York Cityagain. He won’t do so alone, of course, given Infinity War‘s latest trailer placed Robert Downey Jr.’s wisecracking hero in the company of Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong).

Together, the form Marvel’s Science Bros, a group of fiercely intelligent individuals who can be seen wandering through the smoky devastation of New York City in this newly-released still from Empire – which you can check out down in the gallery below along with a few previously released ones.

It’s an incredibly cinematic shot – up there with the ‘cool guys don’t look at explosions’ meme – as we see a stony-faced Iron Man emerge from the rubble. Chances are RDJ’s protagonist is actually wearing the Bleeding Edge armor, which bends to his every will. And those familiar with Iron Man’s Model-Prime suit ought to be pretty familiar with its cutting-edge capabilities.

Doctor Strange, meanwhile, continues to wield the Eye of Agamotto – and, by effect, the all-powerful Time Stone – which gives the Avengers one advantage: Thanos is coming to Earth, as opposed to the other way around, which ensures they’ll be fighting on home turf when the lights go down.

Avengers: Infinity War opens worldwide on April 27th.
