Marvel Takes Us Behind The Scenes Of Avengers: Infinity War With New Video

Marvel has released a brand new featurette this morning that takes us behind the scenes of Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War.

It’s begun, folks. The marketing blitz for Avengers: Infinity War is well and truly underway now, and we couldn’t be happier about it. When it comes to most films, you begin to feel inundated with promotional material after a while, but for Joe and Anthony Russo’s upcoming event movie, we really can’t get enough. From promos to TV spots and tons of photos, there’s been so much for fans to feast on and that continues today with a new featurette.

Though a bit short and not too heavy on footage from Infinity War itself, it’s still well worth a watch, as Marvel takes us behind the scenes of what’s sure to be 2018’s biggest movie. Boasting interviews with the cast – Robert Downey Jr., Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Ruffalo and more – and a look at the various shenanigans that go on while making a film like this, this quick sneak peek is sure to put a smile on fans’ faces as they get a chance to see their favorite actors take the time to reflect on what it’s been like working on Avengers 3.

Also, there is a very small bit of footage that we haven’t seen before. Nothing too significant, but the scene where Thor meets the Guardians is shown and we do get a little more of it than the last clip revealed. There’s also a glimpse of Doctor Strange and Star-Lord on what appears to be an alien planet, with the Sorcerer Supreme lending some magical aid to Peter Quill.

If nothing else, this behind the scenes video truly hammers home the point that there’s never been a film quite like this one. Its enormous cast (22 Marvel heroes!) and epic story ought to be exclusive to the world of comic books, where big-name crossovers are commonplace. Leave it to Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios, then, to rewrite the rulebook and put together one of the most audacious and indeed successful cinematic universes in the history of cinematic universes, right?

Avengers: Infinity War reaches theaters on April 27th, and while the excitement is electric – palpable, even – the Russo Brothers have asked fans to think twice about posting spoilers. Because after 10 years and 18 movies’ worth of exposition and city-leveling spectacle, why ruin the fun?
