For those of us stateside, this past Friday brought with it the release of Avengers: Infinity War, the culmination of Marvel Studios’ decade-long effort to unite all of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on the big screen. And by this morning, the nineteenth entry into the MCU has set almost every box office record possible.

Having officially hurled the Marvel Cinematic Universe beyond $15 billion earned at the ticket booth worldwide, Avengers: Infinity War took no time to gloat. The Anthony and Joe Russo-directed blockbuster manhandled both competitors and the take this weekend, leaving a slew of record holders helplessly defeated in its wake.

In case you haven’t heard yet, the pic opened to a mammoth $250 million domestically, narrowly surpassing the record set by J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($248 million) by just $2 million. And it only gets better from there.

Overseas, the superhero epic raked in $380 million, which, combined with the film’s domestic haul ($250 million), totals $630 million. With that sum, Avengers: Infinity War has, yes, you guessed it, garnered another box office record, this time for largest global opening, overwhelming Universal’s The Fate of the Furious’ $542 million, which is downright puny in comparison.

Continuing on the path to immortality, it also set the record for biggest Saturday domestically ($83 million) and nabbed the biggest Sunday as well ($61 million). Naturally, Infinity War donned the best superhero opening crown, too, passing The Avengers‘ $207.4 million domestic total and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s $422.5 million global haul.

So, to recap, here are all the records Avengers: Infinity War now holds: biggest domestic opening of all time, biggest international opening of all time, biggest superhero opening of all time (domestic and global), biggest Saturday of all time in North America, biggest Sunday of all time in North America, and biggest opening of all time in seven international markets. And with the way things are going, you can bet that it’ll have several more records to add to that list by next week.
