It: Chapter Two Has Cast Adult Stanley

Andy Bean, best known for his role in the HBO series Here and Now and Allegiant, has been cast as Stanley Uris (Wyatt Oleff) in the Andy Muschietti-directed It: Chapter Two.

What with even the most obscure, microscopic instalments of Stephen King’s oeuvre being sold off at an alarming rate, it’s becoming increasingly more difficult to decipher which “Master of Horror” adaptation to keep tabs on at the moment.

The reason for this mass migration of King literature to both the big and small screen can be attributed to Warner Bros.’ remake of It. Having made $700 million on a production budget of just $35 million, the Andy Muschietti-directed horror film was one of 2017’s most profitable motion pictures, resulting in a sequel being fast-tracked, entitled IT: Chapter Two.

Speaking of which, casting on the project is now heating up, as earlier today, Sinister star James Ransone joined as adult Eddie (Jack Dylan Grazer) and tonight, we’re learning that Andy Bean, best known for his roles in the HBO series Here and Now and Allegiant, has been cast as the adult version of Stanley Uris (Wyatt Oleff)

The actor joins the likes of Jessica Chastain, who’s been in negotiations to star as the adult Beverly Marsh (Sophia Lillis) since February of this year, and James McAvoy and Bill Hader, who entered talks to play the adult Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Lieberher) and Richie Tozier (Finn Wolfhard) back in April.

From what we understand, the Muschietti-directed sequel will pick up twenty-seven years after the first film left off, when the Losers Club returns to the small town of Derry, Maine to defeat the evil clown Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) for good.

Set to begin production in Toronto this coming July, we should receive some further casting news soon, as there are still a few roles left to be filled. In the meantime, though, be sure to head on down to the comments section and let us know what you think of the roster for It: Chapter Two so far.
