The CW Debuts Key Art For Arrowverse Crossover Featuring Batwoman

Like many of you, we're waiting impatiently for Hollywood to flesh out the rest of the Bat Family in live action. Sure, the Dark Knight himself is arguably as cool as it gets, but the heroes surrounding him all have rabid fanbases of their own. Fortunately, one major pin was knocked down earlier today.

In case you haven’t heard, the next major Arrowverse crossover will feature none other than Batwoman. Set to be the first live action appearance of Kate Kane, said announcement has already ignited a veritable brushfire on social media. No joke, since debuting in the pages of 52 just over a decade ago, she’s gone on to headline her own solo title and has accrued legions of devoted readers in the process.

In fact, it was the Green Arrow himself, Stephen Amell, who broke the news at The CW’s fall upfronts, all the while speaking in front of a gorgeous backdrop bearing the likenesses of his own character, as well as the Flash and Supergirl.

There was one other minor detail worth mentioning, as well, and that was the Bat Signal hovering over them. Posted on Twitter by Variety’s own Michael Schneider, the best photo yet of the key artwork can be viewed below.

Of course, details remain scarce regarding Batwoman’s exact involvement, but we’ll take you back to Amell’s words at the time of unveiling:

“We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event this fall on the CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character. For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific. The crossover is going to make it to air in December. I need to leave right now and start filming it.”

Naturally, more info concerning this fall’s Arrowverse crossover will drop between now and December, and we’ll be here to update you whenever something new surfaces.
