Being the progenitor of The CW’s DC TV universe, Arrow has played host to the first appearances for a variety of heroes. Remember, this is where the likes of the Atom, Vixen and even Barry Allen got their starts. That said, it’s no wonder why we call it “the Arrowverse.”

And despite each fall crossover requiring all available hands on deck, there are still some notable omissions, most likely due to budgetary constraints and which characters WB and DC will allow the producers access to.

To his credit, Arrow’s lead actor, Stephen Amell, will be able to cross another dream team-up off his bucket list next season when Batwoman joins the party that’ll be the next epic mashup. Still, the Emerald Archer has yet to be in the same room as a few other heavy hitters.

On that very note, here’s how Amell responded when a fan asked whom he’d like to fight alongside in the near future during a panel conducted this weekend at Motor City Comic Con:

“Superman. I thought that Tyler did a great job, and I had an opportunity to fangirl over Tom Welling [at a recent convention]. I would love for Oliver and Clark to eventually meet. I think that that would be incredible.”

From the sound of it, the Man of Steel was one of the heroes who resonated with Amell most when he was growing up, in addition to Tim Burton’s take on Batman. Hopefully, his enthusiasm rubs off on the Powers That Be. Still, much hinges on Tyler Hoechlin’s availability, but fingers crossed they’re able to make it work.

Arrow returns for its seventh season on Monday nights this fall on The CW.
