Oh, how people forget…

As I’ve done in the past, I’ll make it known that I did enjoy Justice League, for I saw it as an enjoyable action movie featuring my favorite characters in all of pop culture. Still, I can’t help but imagine how things would’ve turned out if Snyder were kept aboard. I mean, I’m not sure if the film itself would’ve been better, but it seems the heroes would’ve been fleshed out a bit more and some of his concepts just sounded cooler than what Whedon came up with.

If you’ve been keeping up with all the trivia that’s dropped in the past few months, then you’re aware of how it looks like there is indeed a wealth of  footage that was left on the cutting room floor. And thanks to Heroic Gateway’s Instagram page, we’re able to peep some behind-the-scenes images from the time of production.

While you peruse the gallery above, you’ll notice a few of these photos hint at several scenes that didn’t make the final cut, most notably those featuring Barry Allen AKA the Flash and Victor Stone’s pre-Cyborg days as a fooball player.

Personally, I’m intrigued by the one showing Aquaman and Cyborg fighting side by side, forcing me to wonder if this was an alternate shot taken from the scene where Arthur Curry was trying to stave off the oncoming water from the tunnel beneath Gotham City, or if it was from the third act’s battle against Parademons.

Aside from that sort of stuff, some pics from Whedon’s time in the director’s chair found their way into the batch, namely the race between Superman and the Flash. Arguably, the former Avengers helmer’s greatest nod to the comics was what comprised Justice Leauge‘s mid-credits scene, so you really can’t complain about its inclusion.
