The Cast Of Avengers: Infinity War Get Comic-Accurate Makeovers

One talented Marvel fan has produced a series of Photoshop images designed to illustrate how the cast of Avengers: Infinity War would look with comic-accurate costumes.

Generally speaking, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has a pretty commendable success rate when it comes to the costumes worn by its leading heroes.

From Doctor Strange to Black Widow to Iron Man and all his many permutations, Marvel Studios deserves praise for its approach to the source material, which somehow manages to remain faithful to the comics all the while adding a touch of reality to some of those weird and wonderful costumes.

It’s a creative process that was thrust into the limelight once again thanks to Avengers: Infinity War, which has since become the fourth highest-grossing movie of all time. Even by Marvel’s own lofty standards, that’s a pretty remarkable feat, and thanks to one particularly talented superfan, below you’ll see a gallery of images designed to show what Infinity War‘s cast would look like when dressed in comic-accurate costumes.

If nothing else, it makes you appreciate how Marvel’s design team were able to adapt some of the more eccentric characters – think Ant-Man, Vision and Scarlet Witch – and render a believable costume that doesn’t necessarily look out of place in the real world. Mind you, Paul Bettany’s Vision is a walking, talking android capable of wielding Mjölnir, so perhaps that’s still subject to debate…

On a more serious note, and now that Infinity War has come and gone, the entire Marvel fanbase has one eye trained on Avengers 4, which is currently expected to follow Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel into theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
