Iron Fist Season 2 Likely To Arrive Before Daredevil Season 3

If we polled Marvel fans to pick which Netflix show they'd rather return for a new season first between Daredevil and Iron Fist, we'd bet good money that the majority would pick the former. The Man Without Fear's series has been a smash hit over its first two runs and Daredevil lovers are desperately waiting to see what happens next for Matt Murdock after The Defenders ended with him believed to be dead. Iron Fist, on the other hand, is widely seen as one of the worst entries in the MCU.

As you can probably guess from the title of this article, though, we’ve got some slightly annoying news. Evidence is pointing towards Iron Fist season 2 premiering on Netflix prior to Daredevil season 3. Jeremy Conrad revealed on Twitter that Netflix is set to hold a presentation on the next season of the martial arts/superhero drama at San Diego Comic-Con in July. Seeing as Marvel Studios is not showing up this year, this may be the only major Marvel presence at the event.

From Iron Fist’s presence at SDCC, we can deduce that it’s going to drop on Netflix in the fall. The silver lining for Daredevil fans is that Marvel and the streaming service have upped their output this year and will offer up a fourth season on top of their typical three. That will be season 3 of the Hornhead’s show, which we would guess is pencilled in for a November or December release.

In Iron Fist‘s defense, much has been said about how this second season will improve on the lackluster debut outing. Star Finn Jones promised it will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before (whatever that means) while rumors suggest it will cut out the baggage by consisting of a shorter run of episodes. Alice Eve is involved, too, most likely playing Danny Rand’s new nemesis.

Before Iron Fist, though, we still have Luke Cage season 2 to dive into, which hits Netflix on June 22nd.
