Legends Of Tomorrow Adds Courtney Ford As Regular For Season 4

Season 4 of Legends of Tomorrow will shake up the main cast in some major ways. After perishing in the season 3 finale, it looks like Arthur Darvill's Rip Hunter is out for good, and sadly Kid Flash will soon leave the Waverider as Keiynan Lonsdale is bowing out of the show as well. It's definitely a time for change, then, but at least there are several new regulars who will more than soften the blow of these two exits.

The latest to be announced is Courtney Ford, who’s being bumped up from her recurring role in season 4 to a regular for the next run. Of course, Ford plays Nora Darhk, the daughter of longtime Arrowverse villain Damien Darhk (as portrayed by Neal McDonough). The apple didn’t fall far from the tree in this case, as Nora’s inherited her dad’s mischievous ways. That said, she does have a mutual attraction to Ray Palmer AKA The Atom…who happens to be played by her real life husband, Brandon Routh.

Ford is just the latest recurring player to get a regular role on LoT season 4. Jes Macallan, who plays Time Bureau agent Ava Sharpe, is also set for a permanent position on the cast this year, presumably meaning we’ll get more of her romance with Sara. The big one that’s exciting fans, though, is the fact that Matt Ryan’s finally getting a regular spot on an Arrowverse show as John Constantine. Like Macallan, he previously recurred on the series last season and will now become a full-time crew member of the Waverider.

There are also a few more additions who’ve yet to be cast. One is new team member “Ali,” a woman in her 20s who’s a “mega-genius” and gets “distracted by her own imagination as well as romantic impulses.” The second is Hank Heywood, Nate’s estranged dad. We’re told that he’s got “a Woody Harrelson-y charm” and values “patriotism and sacrifice,” but there’s still no word on who may play him.

Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW on Monday, October 22nd and as soon as we get more casting updates, we’ll be sure to let you know.
