Spider-Man: Far From Home Fan Poster Imagines Venom’s MCU Entrance

Spider-Man: Far From Home was given its official title last weekend, and it started fans theorizing about what exactly it could be referring to. Most leaped on the fact that it reflects the wall-crawler's status at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Forgetting for a moment that he's currently dead - no one expects that to stick - Peter Parker was last seen stuck on the planet Titan in outer space. Which is about as far from his home in Queens as you can get.

But could this situation possibly fuel a whole movie? Well, since learning that Spidey would go into space in Infinity War, comic book readers have wondered if the MCU might pay homage to the classic Secret Wars event. In that, Parker also goes into space and, while there, comes into contact with an alien symbiote that forms his black Spider-Man suit. This was, of course, the origins of Venom, his longtime nemesis.

Now, artist Boss Logic has imagined this for us with his mocked-up poster for Far From Home. The artwork depicts Peter, in his Iron Spider suit, standing on the surface of Titan and looking up at Earth. The most interesting part of the image, though, is the black gloop that’s forming around his costume.

As awesome as this would be, unfortunately it’s extremely unlikely to happen due to Sony holding the rights to Eddie Brock and his associated symbiote. Tom Hardy’s starring as the character in October’s Venom and, though it was confusing there for a while, we’re pretty sure that there won’t be any connections with the MCU in the movie.

That hasn’t stopped Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, from wanting to go up against Venom in a future Marvel film, though. Hey, maybe he knows something we don’t know? For now, though, what we do know is that Spider-Man: Far From Home is pencilled in for release on July 5th, 2019.
