Star Wars: The Last Jedi: A Film By a Bunch of Dudes on the Internet.
That’s the bizarre tagline that adorns Fernando Reza’s gloriously over-the-top poster for the proposed ‘remake’ of The Last Jedi – a remake that, as far as we know, is yet to secure a script nor the rights from Lucasfilm. And still, the Internet’s strangest campaign continues unabated.
Frankly, Reza’s piece is absolutely hilarious, as it pokes fun at the entire ordeal replete with a macho Luke, a super-shredded Kylo, a triple Death Star and Supreme Leader Snoke projecting his whereabouts, along with his origins and plan, for all the galaxy to see. Indeed, the longer you look at this poster for Star Wars: The Last Jedi: A Film By a Bunch of Dudes on the Internet, the funnier it gets, and director Rian Johnson has since responded to the whole thing via Twitter. Spoilers: he loved it.
As reported by Cinema Blend, Johnson simply posted an emoji with tears rolling down its cheeks, which, it has to be said, sums up almost everyone’s thoughts on this fan-made remake – a fan-made remake of a Star Wars movie that released just five months ago, no less.

Suffice it to say, everyone has their own opinions about Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘s proposed remake, but if you’re particularly enamored by Fernando Reza’s sun-kissed poster, it’s now available to purchase over on his store. Because, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want a framed photo of a topless Luke Skywalker hanging on their wall?
