In doing so, directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will expand the MCU’s horizons into the dark recesses of Marvel’s cosmic universe – more so than even Guardians of the Galaxy – and we can’t wait to see what they’ve got planned for us. Thankfully, we may get the chance to lay eyes on something quite soon, as Larson’s taken to Twitter today to announce that production has wrapped all the while sharing a new photo, which can be seen in the gallery below.

It’s just of a clapboard and not from the movie itself, but given that production’s now complete, that likely means an official shot of the actress in character might be coming soon. True, we’ve heard that the first trailer won’t be here until the end of the year, but surely Marvel will give us a photo or two before then, right?

For those unfamiliar with the source material, Captain Marvel will see Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, the skilled Air Force pilot who finds her life flipped upside down when her DNA is fused with that of an extra-terrestrial. What follows is a quick and breathtaking transformation into the hero we know and love, though with great power comes even greater foes to contend with.

Captain Marvel is due to arrive at theaters on March 8th, 2019. Which is a long, long ways away. But once it lands, expect to be introduced to the MCU’s most powerful character yet. One who can apparently move planets. Watch out, Thanos!
