Today’s the day, folks; Deadpool 2‘s Super Duper Cut has been released into the wild. And there’s even a special video message from Wade Wilson to prove it.
Similar to Avengers: Infinity War and other staggered home video releases, that Super Duper Cut of Deadpool 2, which comes packing an additional 15 minutes of deleted scenes, is currently only available via Digital, with the Blu-ray and DVD launch expected to follow in two weeks’ time.
None of that bonus footage is included in today’s black-and-white clip, though; instead, you’ll see the Merc With a Mouth addressing the audience as though he was stuck hyping up a perfume in some bizarre alternate dimension. Not once has Ryan Reynolds adhered to the rulebook while promoting Deadpool 2 and its subsequent Blu-ray release, and Fox’s marketing campaign has been all the more entertaining for it. You can go ahead and add this latest promo to the growing collection.
If you’re curious about the bonus features to be included on Deadpool 2‘s home video release, you’ll be pleased to note that Fox has carved out room for the usual staples – namely a gag reel and a truckload of deleted scenes – along with a detailed rundown of all the many secrets and Easter eggs tucked into the fabric of David Leitch’s superhero (anti-hero?) sequel. And trust us when we say that there are a lot.
Last and certainly not least, there’s also the promise of an audio commentary from Ryan Reynolds and Leitch, who are joined by Deadpool 2‘s writing duo, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is almost worth the price of admission alone.
