New Scarlet Witch/Vision Easter Egg Spotted In Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War accelerated Scarlet Witch and Vision's relationship along a fair bit from when we'd last seen them in Captain America: Civil War. Though they were just starting to display an affection for each other on that occasion, here they were presented as star-crossed lovers who'd fled to Scotland in order to escape being Avengers and have a normal life. Obviously, though, that didn't go to plan.

Avengers: Infinity War accelerated Scarlet Witch and Vision’s relationship along a fair bit from when we’d last seen them in Captain America: Civil War. Though they were just starting to display an affection for each other on that occasion, here they were presented as star-crossed lovers who’d fled to Scotland in order to escape being Avengers and have a normal life. Obviously, though, that didn’t go to plan.

Now, an observant fan has noticed a neat little set-dressing detail that reinforces the connection between the two characters. In their hotel room in Edinburgh, the two lamps on display are colored red and yellow – colors which presumably represent Wanda Maximoff (red, for obvious reasons) and the android hero (his cape is yellow).

You can see what we’re talking about in the screenshot below:

Despite trying to get away from it all, the couple’s lives caught up with them when the Black Order tracked them down in an attempt to nab the Mind Stone from Vision’s forehead. Thankfully, Captain America’s Secret Avengers were on hand to do battle with Thanos’ goons, but Vis was injured in the conflict. He was then taken to Wakanda in the hopes of saving him, but in the end, the Mad Titan got his hands on the Infinity Stone, killing Vision, Wanda and, oh, about half of the universe.

Amongst all the other plotlines vying for space, Avengers: Infinity War surprisingly did a good job of convincing us of Wanda and Vis’ love, thanks to a combination of the writing, the performances and, apparently, even background prop details which subliminally encouraged us to think of them as a couple.

If both of the characters are brought back to life in Avengers 4, it’s likely we’ll see more of the witch and the android sitting in a tree – or maybe even a spinoff movie for the pair, which Elizabeth Olsen seems keen on.
